London Fashion & Style - Spring 2018
We look for style inspiration both in our own backyard and on our travels. London, the birthplace of many fashion subcultures, is a vibrant city full of people who have never been afraid to let their true colors show and really express their personal style. We touched in with a few women we met in London to see what they had to say about their idea of fashion and the general consensus was “wear what makes you feel good.” The trends that inspired us on the streets of London were monochromatic outfits paired with fun (faux) furs and tons of sparkle.
Our Pink look is inspired by part one of our fabulous duo and the soft hues of the biggest color of the past few seasons. We chose super on trend pieces like Tessa tassel earrings from designer Sheila Fajl. For necklaces we chose the petite Libi Pendant Necklace from ela rae, and a classic strand necklace, the Maura from Love Heals. Both of these necklaces layer beautifully by themselves and with others.
Our Black mood board was inspired by a Greek girl we met that had been living in London for the past few months. She brought the edgy style of Athens and combined it with the trends of London. In honor of her, we chose a few of our edgier pieces including Chan Luu’s Bullet Earrings and one of her signature Multi Wrap Bracelets, a sparkling headband from Deepa Gurnani, and Love Heals’ hand carved Vow Necklace. Our Purple Girl inspired us with her so sweet personality and little pops of shine. We chose a sparkling hair tie from Deepa Gurnani and Azuni London Kate Earrings to mimic her shine. For a more subdued purple look we love Chan Luu’s Floating Pearl Earrings and her petite Amethyst Pendant Necklace. It’s getting a little warm for fur coats but this scarf from Blue Pacific is the perfect purple transition piece for going from winter to spring.
