Kendra Scott: The Women Behind the Designs
We believe we carry one of the most diverse collections of Kendra Scott jewelry outside of Kendra Scott; carrying both Signature Core and Seasonal Collections. We carry over 1,000 different items from her collections.
About Kendra:
Inspired by her stepfather’s battle with cancer, Kendra, at 19, created The Hat Box in Austin, a hat boutique whose proceeds benefitted cancer research. She created pieces for both women and men. Sadly, she closed that business in 1998. This set the course to learn from her ‘failures’.
Being an entrepreneur at heart, in 2002, with her then husband out of work and a newborn, Kendra took $500 of the family savings and started designing and making jewelry out of her bedroom. Kendra took her wares door to door to local boutiques in Austin Texas in her tea box. When all sold out within a day, she knew she was onto something.
Her niche was (and is) to create a brand of jewelry that showcases beautiful designs at an affordable price. Kendra’s philosophy of giving back is one of the core pillars of her business along with family.
Now a billion dollar business, her core values remain the same. Kendra’s philosophy of giving back has been demonstrated over and over. In 2016 Kendra Scott Designs gave back $2.5M and donated over 75,000 pieces of jewelry.
Kendra Scott Collections:
Signature Collection – This collection is always available although select stones and metal finishes change year to year. Kendra selects certain styles to be featured as pop stones in each seasonal collection. These are available in limited quantity.
Kendra’s iconic silhouette is the oval shape and is found throughout many styles; earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings.
2 original styles are retiring this year, the Danielle earrings and the Rayne necklace. The design has been updated and replaced with Aragon earring and Inez necklace. So if you’ve been on the fence about purchasing, now is the time!
There are approximately 20 different designs featuring this silhouette. The most popular are the Elisa necklace, Elaina bracelet and Elle earrings. The Elisa pendant necklace is a customer favorite and here at Lavishly Hip we offer it 40+ stone/metal combinations. You can find it gold, silver and rose gold as well as other select metal finishes.
The range of stones is incredible, over 50 stones and one of the most popular is drusy.
Metals Collection – Kendra also has a collection that is ideal for the woman that like a clean design that highlights its metal finish.
Metals finishes include gold, silver, rose gold and gunmetal.
Some of her most desired styles are Sophee earrings and her little sister, Sophia, as well as Phara necklace.
Kendra Scott fans love her signature logo filigree design, which can be seen in some of her more popular styles: Lee and Kirsten earrings, Kacey and Elisa Filigree necklace, and Candice Cuff.
We also offer 4” hook style and 2” lobster styles in gold, silver, rose gold and gunmetal for those that want a little longer length on their necklaces and bracelets.
Seasonal Collections - Kendra offers multiple collections throughout the year. There is a seasonal collection along with several mini capsules.
Our newest collections from Kendra are her Graduation, Opal and Chelsea/Cade/Calla.
Kendra has a strong relationship with college students and releases focused collections, such as Graduation. This assortment features popular stone colors matching popular university hues.
The styles in this set include the Leanor necklace and Stan bracelet, both featuring the on-trend bar design.
This collection also includes Elaina bracelet, Reid necklace and Elora hoop earrings with the oval design.
For more abstract lovers, there is the Teo necklace and Taylor Stud earrings.
One of Kendra’s most popular stones that were released in the last couple of years is the Kyocera Opal. These stones are synthetic lab-grown. It takes 12 to 24 months to develop and the color is never dyed. Each stone has reflections of aurora borealis with deep sparkle and has the properties of genuine opal.
The newest capsule features Jillian stud earrings, Jayde pendant necklace and Julia ring. The colors include Magenta, Aqua, Lavender, Turquoise and White.
Another recent collection includes a beautiful oval stone surrounded with clear CZ. This is a subset of Kendra’s bridal collection and includes the Cade stud earrings, Chelsea pendant necklace and Calla open pinch bangle bracelet.
